QS University Ranking Asia 2020

UMP is ranked 134th in Asia in the QS University Ranking Asia 2020. The climb of 54 spots makes UMP as the first university in the Malaysian Technological University Network (MTUN) to place itself in the 150 best universities in Asia. UMP had climbed 54 spots this year from 188th last year. The improvement covers graduate employability, networking and industrial collaboration, and international strategic partnerships.

UMP recorded the 7th spot in Malaysia in QS Graduate Employability 2020 and ranked in the group of 301–500 best in the world.

UMP is listed at the 751–800 spot in QS World University Rankings for the 2020 rating.

QS Subject Rankings

QS Subject Rankings is the assessment done by Quacquarelli Symonds based on the exercise for the QS World University Rankings. It comprises four major criteria which are Employer Reputation, Academic Reputation, Citation, and h-index. UMP succeeded to be listed in two subjects which are Chemical Engineering (251–300) and Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing (301–350), and listed in one broad area of Engineering & Technology (401–450).

 

Webometrics Ranking Web of Universities

Ranking Web or Webometrics is the biggest ranking system for institutes of higher learning. Since 2004 and for every six months, free and open exercise has been executed by the Cybermetrics Lab (Spanish National Research Council, CSIC) to provide credible, diverse, updated, and meaningful information for the world’s universities based on visibility and impact of their webs. UMP is placed at 1415th spot in the world and 8th in Malaysia based on the latest released result in January 2020.
